ABOUT SEATTLE CRASH LACROSSE

Seattle Crash was born out of a desire to help competitive lacrosse players grow their skills, both on and off the field. We work hard, play hard, and have high expectations that every athlete will become better players, better friends, better teammates, and better community members throughout their time in the Seattle Crash family.

We are so proud of what we have accomplished in our short time as a team!

Coach

Winston Rendall

Coach

Winston has been coaching youth sports at all ages for 20 years.  He has experience coaching soccer, football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse.  Winston has coached multiple championship teams including leading the Seattle Crash girls to victory at the Legends Meltdown Championship in 2022 and a high school tournament in Boise, Idaho.  During the ’22-'23 Summer & Fall/Winter seasons, Seattle Crash made four championship game appearances.  Winston believes that team sports help create opportunities for kids to grow on and off the field.  His coaching style promotes a unified team dynamic centered around positive communication and rewarding hard work.  He encourages all team members to provide feedback in a constructive and encouraging way.  Winston also believes that the best teams are also the best conditioned.  Seattle Crash practices include HIIT-level training and lacrosse drills that are fast-moving and utilize the full field. When Winston isn’t roaming the sidelines, he is leading a team of insurance underwriters.  He loves spending time with his wife, Terry (Crash Team Manager & Board Member), and their kids on the slopes or traveling.  Winston also teaches a group HIIT type class at two local area gyms.

Ashley is an avid athlete and also a two sport coach.  She started playing club lacrosse at a young age, playing for area programs Seattle Starz and Superstix.  She played for the U15 National Team as well as another all-star program, XTEAM.  Ashley played high school lacrosse for Kennedy Catholic High School, earning all-area team status multiple times.  Ashley went on to play college lacrosse for Arizona State University.   Ashley came back to the Seattle area and was brought back to her alma mater, Kennedy, to coach lacrosse and soccer.  She started as an assistant coach for the Kennedy program in 2019 and became head coach in 2022.   Ashley works for a property management company and Starbucks when she isn't coaching.  Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew (when he isn't deployed) and their dog Leo. Ashley's coaching philosophy: "I make sure that all players know their role on the field, big or small.  Everyone needs to do their job so the team can be successful."

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Good teams become great teams when the members trust each other enough to surrender the “Me” for “We”.

we have such GREAT fans

“Our daughter had been on two previous travel teams, where she was treated as a number, not a person and we decided we weren't doing travel anymore, ever. Enter Crash! The team has a "whole player and human" approach that creates a great sense of community and family and she is now thriving! I have no doubt that taking this leap of faith has benefited us both immensely. With Crash’s great coaching style and moral compass, she has really evolved into an amazing athlete. They play clean and enforce all the things I want my kiddo to embrace.”
